5K a year 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community has an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance Team! The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is analytical, detail oriented, and a problem solver.
Someone who can both manage the long-term focus of projects while still maintaining the day-to-day deliverables will be a perfect fit and thoroughly enjoy all this position and our organization has to offer.
Primary Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Take the lead in the month end closing process, which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting.

Coordinate the organization's Annual Budget Process.
Review and analyze budget variances.
Serve as back-up to the Controller.
Play a key role in the preparation of reports for Audits, Cost Reporting, 990, Disclosure statements and all other reporting, as assigned.
Ensure organization's adherence to contract payment terms.
Initiate and carries out special projects of varying natures and complexities with limited supervision.
Experience with not-for-profit accounting and/or health care a plus, but not required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
1-3 years hands-on accounting experience preferred.
Project oriented, with strengths in organizing tasks and follow-through on deliverables.
Must be detail and deadline oriented.
Keen analytic, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge and understanding of automated accounting practices.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with a focus on Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, residents, and visitors.
Ability to work independently and prioritize.
